2012 Nissan GT-R: Faster Than Porsche and Ferrari

2012 Nissan GT-R: Faster Than Porsche and Ferrari: Now Nissan has figured out how to bring the experience to any average Joe, assuming that Joe happens to have an extra 90 grand sitting around. Nissan's formula? Exactly 530 horsepower and 448 pound-feet transmission of torque, coupled to an all-wheel-drive system and controlled through a dual-clutch.Those numbers are good enough for 0-60 in 2.9 seconds flat and 0-62 in 3.

By comparison, the 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S uses a twin-turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 24-valve flat-6 to thus produce 530 horses, and 516 pound-feet of torque, to hit 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and 62 in 3.2, all for a cost of around $ 170,000. The Ferrari 458 uses a 4.5-liter Italia V8 to produce 570 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-62 sprint of about 4.3 seconds. You're looking at around $ 250K to bring home the 2011 Corvette ZR1 prancing horse. The might be the closest competition in terms of price. Starting at around $ 111,000, it pumps out 638 hp and scoots to 60 in 3.4 seconds.
